I have WordPress installed on my Website and it's working. I can easily administer the installation and post new entries. Unfortunately WordPress can't write .htaccess and sitemap.xml files. (For instance, the Google XML Sitemaps plugin should automatically update the sitemap.xml file.) I can easily change the file permissions to the required settings but that has no effect.
Where should I look for the blockage? |

Are you getting any errors? Have you thoroughly looked over the Error Logs provided in cPanel?

Thanks for mentioning that, Ali. I hadn't thought of checking the cPanel error log. Unfortunately, no errors appear there.
