Hi ...
I've been a customer for quite sometime and since i never had much to do on my hosted websites, i didnt really encounter 'Support' that much... Recently i referred a client of mine to change hosts from linksky to wirenine and it has left me really embarrassed! First of all their whole setup issue took 6 - 7 days even though their credit card was charged within one day... Secondly, since the website i developed for them uses php and MySQL, i tried to test it by hosting at the temp path till the wirenine name servers propagated over the net but couldn't ... I communicated with the Live Chat person called 'Support' and he/she told me that its a policy that php will not work thru temp web path and that we'll have to wait 12 to 24 hours AFTER the name servers have been changed... Understood and no problem with that... The thing is that its been more than 24 hrs since the name servers were changed to wirenine and still php is not working... The Live Chat keeps saying "Your request is important to us. Please wait, an operator will be with you shortly." and when i call 1-888-979-HOST (4678) and choose '3' for support the recorded msg says something like "Unfortunately Support is not available right now"... Is there something i have to do at my end to get everything to work? Btw am getting disappointed and even more embarrassed because i raved about wirenine to get them to convert from linksky!! Help me out here please... |

Hi,
As stated in your Ticket, there was a configuration error at your end which caused the issue to appear on the web site. DNS propagation is not set by us, we cannot control the time it takes for the DNS to propagate. The best method for obtaining technical support is via Help desk, our Live chat is only available for general inquiries and Telephone support is for emergencies, but also requires you opening a ticket. Your issue already has been resolved via the ticket. Thank you

Thanks for the help Ali...
But i still don't understand how the same configuration (server: wire2.wirenine.com) would work at my own website, hosted at wirenine, but NOT at my client's website, hosted at wirenine, using the same software versions! And with reference to my message above, please do something about the Support turn around time and the fact that during live chat Support did not ask / mention anything about the server configuration, instead emphasized the time name servers will take to replicate over the web! |
